Catriona Muir RM

Catriona Muir has been an active birth midwife practitioner since 1995. She has vast experience in natural childbirth, having worked at the Birth Unit at The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth as well as in hospitals with more conventional delivery techniques. She has joined The Birth Company to provide midwifery input and advice to mothers antenatally. She also works on a part-time basis at The Portland Hospital.

Together with Dr Gibb and Dr Roberts, Catriona helps women prepare for childbirth. If you choose our Consultant package, you will see her only for a booking appointment at 26 weeks of pregnancy, to complete the documentation for The Portland Hospital. Or, if you choose our Integrated package, you will have several appointments with her. Catriona also helps run our antenatal couples class for parents-to-be, which is held at around week 36 of your pregnancy.

Catriona is also available for breast feeding support and advice and is currently completing the lactation consultants course in breastfeeding management.
