Sonographers

Nayna Patel DCR, DMU, MSC

Nayna trained as a Radiographer at Hammersmith Hospital and qualified in 1980. Her interest in ultrasound led her to undertake further training at Queen Charlotte and Hammersmith hospitals and she gained a diploma in medical ultrasound in 1990. She has been working as a sonographer since then and has vast experience in gynaecological, obstetric and general ultrasound. She gained a masters degree in ultrasound from City University in 1997 and has been involved in a number of research studies involving novel techniques in the use of ultrasound contrast agents in chronic liver disease, ovarian and breast cancer.

Vera Medic MD, PgD in Ultrasound

Vera graduated as MD from Medical School in Sarajevo in 1986 and worked for various Yugoslavian and UK hospital as a General Practitioner, A&E Consultant and Radiologist before obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in 1996 in Ultrasound at Kings College Hospital. Since then Vera has worked with well established professors in ultrasound at Hammersmith Hospital, The Portland Hospital, Queen Charlottes and several private clinics in Harley Street, where she trained in 3D/4D scanning. Vera is currently involved in ovarian cancer research. When Vera is not busy scanning she spends time raising her young daughter.

Tahira Manzoor MBBS, ARDMS

Tahira gained her bachelors degree in Medicine 1988 from Lahore in Pakistan. She went on to train in Ultrasound whilst living in Singapore, she continued training in the USA where she gained her registration OBS and GYNAE in 1997. In 1998 she did her RCOG/RCR Diploma in advanced Obstetric Ultrasound from the Royal College and in 2002 did her Nuchal training and passed the exam to gain the diploma from Kings College Hospital. Tahira lives in central London with her husband and three children.
