Our Pregnancy and Gynaecology Ultrasound Scans

As specialists in pregnancy and gynaecology scans, we offer a wide range of private ultrasound scans in Cheshire. We can provide all the scans that you need during pregnancy or perform the tests that your gynaecologist or GP has recommended.

What is Ultrasound and Why Do We Use It?

Ultrasound scans are a type of imaging test that uses soundwaves that are above the human range of hearing. We use an ultrasound probe to send these soundwaves into your body. Some of the ultrasound waves will bounce back to the probe when they cross into different types of tissue. The probe collects these echoes so that they can be converted into pictures. The process works in a similar way to bats using echolocation to see. We will be able to see clear images of your insides on the screen in real time.

Ultrasound enables us to see what is going on inside your body, so it provides valuable information about your health. We will provide a full report including scan pictures that you can share with your doctor or midwife. The information we obtained from the scan can then help to guide your care.

We can provide all the scans that you need at every stage of your pregnancy, from an early pregnancy scan at just 7 weeks to a growth and wellbeing scan right before you give birth. You can visit us for any or all of the following scans.
