Get peace of mind with our Growth Reassurance package

This package may be particularly beneficial for NHS patients seeking additional reassurance between their NHS ultrasound scans. It offers the opportunity to monitor your baby's growth and wellbeing between these scans, with an additional assessment in the third trimester- featuring optional 3D imaging and pre-birth check to support preparation for delivery.

Included in this package:

Reassurance scans are performed at any stage after 12 weeks of pregnancy.  At 16 weeks, this scan asses your baby’s development and anatomy. We also look at how the baby is moving, the amount of amniotic fluid, and where the placenta is positioned. Fetal sex determination is also possible at this stage upon request.

During this scan we measure your baby’s head, abdomen, and femur to estimate weight and assess growth patterns. We also evaluate fetal movement, amniotic fluid volume, and placental location. Doppler assessment of the umbilical cord blood flow is included to check placental function. You will receive a digital copy of your ultrasound report, a printed scan photo, and your imaging will be emailed. A copy can also be sent to your referring clinician if required.

The last scan of your package aims to offer information of the baby’s growth and wellbeing in the last stages prior to delivery. The position of the baby is checked as well as the estimated fetal weight as part of the pre-birth check. The growth, amniotic fluid, fetal activity and dopplers are the main focus of this scan.
