The Portland Hospital Outpatients provide comprehensive support and reassurance in pregnancy, fertility and gynaecology. Our highly skilled team strive to ensure patients have a positive and reassuring experience during their pregnancy and fertility care.
Our Specialist Sonographers are fully qualified and insured in all areas of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound scans. All ultrasound scans performed by The Portland Hospital Outpatients are comprehensive, diagnostic, and primarily for medical purposes. We are fully regulated by the CQC.
Internal or trans-vaginal scans can provide clearer pictures in early pregnancy. We also use internal scans to check for gynaecological problems or for fertility assessments. External or trans-abdominal scans are the most common type of scan during pregnancy. They are rarely used for gynaecological checks.
